On July 20th, 2024, members and distinguished guests gathered at the 71st Installation Awards and Dinner Banquet at Bay District Fire Department Banquet Hall. Though some time has passed since the event, we are excited to finally share the highlights of this beautiful evening and recognize our members' outstanding contributions and commitment to the Lexington Park community.

The event was a semi-formal occasion where members and guests celebrated this significant milestone in emergency services for St. Mary's County and LPVRS—the evening featured dinner catered by Rita B's, music and dancing courtesy of DJ Tony Saxton, and heartfelt moments of recognition.

During the evening, the FY25 Operational and Administrative Officers were officially sworn in, and the following awards were presented to honor the exceptional dedication and service of our members in FY24:

Michael Cahall Rookie of the Year Award: Brooke Wagner
Ernie Bean Memorial "Stand by Me" Award: Sandi Hicks and Kim Davidson
John F. Sobola Memorial Award for Service to the Community: Dr. Janelle Martin
Barbara "Dolly" Davidson Squad Person of the Year Award: Melissa Gould
Chief's Award: Pat Davidson
President's Award: Brian Joy

Recognition was also given to the FY24 Top 10 Runners:
Kenneth Hicks
Brian Randazzo
James Ashby
Lawrence Ludwig
Donna Voorhaar
Jose Lumanlan
Andrew Koch
Jake Karaczynski
Christopher Anderson
Thomas (Tom) Raley

A special thank you goes out to our guest attendees, County Commissioners Eric Colvin and Scott Ostrow, for their continued support and presence.

We are also incredibly grateful to the LPVRS Associates, who generously donated $45,000 of their annual fundraising efforts to the squad, showcasing their unwavering support and dedication to our mission.
